App Store Optimization (ASO) is just like SEO (Search Engine Optimization). SEO is for Website and where as ASO is for mobile apps.
This ASO includes the process of ranking highly in an app store’s search results and top charts ranking, Which helps for higher ranking and will drive more downloads for app.

Unlike SEO, app store optimization is still a young and evolving field. Some methods for optimizing an app visibility are known, but the exact ranking algorithms are not known. A decade ago, mobile apps were nearly nonexistent and there was no such thing as an app store. But all that changed when smartphones came into being.
